When my husband died in an accident, I was only three months pregnant with our twin daughters. Being an orphan myself, I had no family support to depend on, and I struggled to care for my children by selling sachet water on the streets. When our rent expired, I feared we would become homeless. Then My Safe Home Haven came into our lives. They helped me pay our rent, renovated our living room, and provided seed capital to start a business. That support gave me stability and a chance to rebuild my life. Today, my daughters are in school, and I can provide for them with greater confidence and dignity.

From Tragedy to Hope
The influencer responded immediately and contacted the Founder of Hold My Hand Foundation. What followed was a remarkable collaboration. The Founder mobilized the appropriate child-protection authorities and relevant agencies, ensuring that the boy’s situation was properly assessed and that the necessary interventions were put in place. Through the combined efforts of the influencer, the Foundation, government authorities, and other stakeholders, the boy was rescued and given the protection and support he urgently needed. This experience taught me that speaking up can save a life. One person’s decision to act, another’s willingness to amplify the story, and the right organizations working together made all the difference.

Working with My Safe Home Haven alongside Benjamin Omin Itu E.D It was something more than an eye-opening experience, I was able to be experience first hand how it felt to assist and be of help and see how my presence helped people I learnt how to communicate and how to listen, and the immense fulfilment I got just from me trying and seeing the smiles on their faces was so inspiring. It cemented humanitarianism for me and I hope to keep this fire alive not just for me but for everyone of us doing the good work
